Every market on BLAST has a predefined resolution date set at creation. When that date is reached, the platform determines the outcome using the designated data source and settles all positions automatically via smart contract.
Resolution is fully automated using Chainlink oracle feeds. These markets resolve directly on-chain with no manual intervention. Tier 2 markets resolve near-instantly after the resolution date, as Chainlink data feeds update in real time and smart contracts execute settlement automatically. The oracle continuously monitors the designated data source and triggers settlement automatically when resolution criteria are met.
Resolution relies on verified public data sources identified during market creation. While the data source may not have a continuous oracle feed, the outcome is still objectively verifiable. Tier 3 markets may take slightly longer, depending on when the relevant data source confirms the outcome. Once confirmed, settlement is executed on-chain and payouts are distributed automatically.
