All markets on BLAST must meet strict quality standards before going live. This policy ensures every market is clear, verifiable, and resolvable using objective data sources.

Market approval process

Every market submitted goes through automated validation by BLAST AI:
  1. Question Analysis: AI evaluates clarity, objectivity, and structure
  2. Tier Assignment: The market is classified based on data availability and manipulation risk
  3. Resolution Setup: AI generates resolution criteria and identifies data sources
  4. Approval Decision: Market is either approved (Tier 2 or Tier 3) or rejected
Most markets receive a decision within 30 seconds.

Requirements for approval

Binary outcome: The market must have exactly two possible outcomes: YES or NO Objective verifiability: The outcome must be determinable using public, objective data. Not opinion, interpretation, or subjective judgment. Reliable data source: The outcome must be verifiable using a publicly accessible, reliable data source. Clear resolution criteria: The market must specify exactly how the outcome will be determined, including:
  • The specific data source to be used
  • The exact metric or condition being measured
  • The precise resolution date and time
Appropriate timeframe: Markets must have a realistic resolution timeline:
  • Minimum: At least 1 hour from market creation to resolution date
  • Maximum: No more than 1 year from market creation to resolution date
Non-manipulable: The outcome cannot be easily influenced or controlled by market participants.

Tier classification

Tier 2 (verifiable + data-rich): Markets with continuous, real-time data feeds and established oracle infrastructure. Resolution: Fully automated via Chainlink oracles. Tier 3 (verifiable + data-poor): Markets with verifiable outcomes but limited continuous data or lower liquidity expectations. Resolution: Verified using the designated public data source, may require manual confirmation.

Rejection reasons

Markets are rejected for the following reasons: Manipulation risk (Tier 0):
  • Outcome can be controlled by participants
  • Insiders have an unfair information advantage
  • Small-scale events are vulnerable to coordination
Lack of verifiability (Tier 1):
  • No reliable public data source exists
  • Outcome is subjective or opinion-based
  • Resolution criteria cannot be objectively applied
  • Data source requires proprietary or paywalled access

Resubmission after rejection

If your market is rejected, BLAST AI provides specific feedback on why it didn’t meet standards. You can:
  1. Review the rejection reason
  2. Revise your market to address the issues
  3. Resubmit with improved clarity, data sources, or resolution criteria

Policy updates

This policy may be updated to reflect new data sources, improved verification methods, or platform changes. All updates will be communicated to users, but existing live markets will not be affected, only new market submissions.
